About Initium
HETIC is proud to organize the first edition of Initium – Business Plan Challenge. Participants are required to ideate a new service or product offering on the given theme and create a business plan around it. They must also create concept pitch videos to garner social media engagement. Registrations for the event will be open from Feb 5th to Feb 20th, 2021. Participants can register online and reserve their spots.
This opportunity will help students:
- Sharpen their organizational and communicational skills
- Enrich their experience in creating an agile business model and plan
- Familiarize with primary/secondary market research and the process of conducting feasibility studies
- Receive feedback from a jury of industry professionals and academicians
- Hone their skills as a team player
Winners will get exciting cash prizes worth 20K – 1st prize, 10K – 2nd prize, and Scholarships worth 50K in each category. That’s not all! Mentorship support and incubation assistance will be provided for the winning business plan.

Noteworthy Points
- You can register individually or as a group
- In a group, you should form a team of min. 2, max. 4 students before the registration
- Participation is limited to final year graduation students and class 11th & 12th students
- Cash prizes are worth 20K – 1st prize, 10K – 2nd prize, and Scholarships are worth 50K
- Registration starts on February 5th and ends on February 20th, 2021
- The themes for the competition will be announced on 21st February 2021
Event Flow Chart
- Students must record a one-minute elevator pitch video after the theme announcement and post it on their social media profiles.

Stage 2 – Shortlisting
(Timeline: 1st to 8th March)- Based on the engagement of videos and merit, the pitch videos will be shortlisted per category.
- The selected students will be asked to prepare detailed business plans for their ideas.
- Students will present their business plans to the institute jury.
- These videos will be posted on HETIC social media platforms for audience engagement.
- From this lot, the videos will be selected for the final event.
Stage 4 – Final event
(Date: 15th March)- A jury of business professionals and academicians will judge the business cases
- The event will be held online and will be showcased on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram apart from our website.
