Terms:
- - Scholarships are awarded based on established eligibility criteria. You must meet the eligibility requirements to receive your scholarship.
  - Limited number of scholarships available under the mentioned categories.
  - Awarding of the scholarship will be at the sole discretion of the management.

Only a nominal fee is applicable towards the university registration, once you receive the scholarship.

The New Normal

With the onset of the Covid 19 pandemic, the world has significantly changed, and we are in the dawn of a new era. In this new normal, schools and colleges have been closed, but learning never stops as most institutions embraced online education. Offices have been closed, yet employees continue to remain productive by embracing digital and technological innovations, governments had to radically change their style of governance, they had to act, be proactive and increase their focus on the health and well-being of their citizens. Travel almost came to a standstill, yet we remain more connected with everyone than before. This new normal has redefined the way we think, work, interact and engage with our peers, family, and society. The pandemic has created new challenges and opportunities, while some of our old problems still exist.

The emotional toll that the outbreak has on all of us is another important lesson from this global pandemic. The frustration as to whether we have a job we can return to is undoubtedly high on the list. But it is the agony of a sudden unstructured life for parents as the schooling of their kids has become virtual, and practically non-existent. Students are unsure of when they will go back to higher education. Yet, one thing that COVID-19 has taught us is that we are resilient.

The New future will be shaped by individuals through innovation, human resilience, our ability to adapt and respond positively to difficult circumstances.

Selection Process & Criteria

We at HETIC would like to support and encourage young talented students who challenge the status quo, think out of the box, possess an intellectual curiosity to learn, and empower themselves to become active citizens and positive change-makers who will contribute to the new future.

Students are required to create a poster, explaining how you are a good fit with the values of the ILEAD scholarship and how will you influence in shaping the new future.

With COVID wrecking the lives of the people across the globe, there is no dearth of the problems faced by different communities/ ethnicities/ countries/ states, etc. The purpose of iLEAD Scholarship is to come up with an innovative, and environment-friendly solution to fix the problem using the terms of the acronym ILEAD Scholarship.

The New Future

The news is full of reports and updates on the issues we face. From the worldwide pandemic to climate change, to the increased rates of gender discrimination, to the many individuals who live without access to medical care, it can often feel as if there are too many.

Where do you even begin? Which problems need to be tackled first? And can one person bring about any change?

Well, you can! End of story. You could be the next social reformer of tomorrow. All you need to do is to carefully study which are the common societal concerns that are in disarray, or if there are other social-economic issues which you feel there is a need to act upon.

The idea is to find out the common/serious problems that are plaguing the world and create a solution to fix the issue which you choose for the project. The solution that you propose must comprise of the acronyms that make up ILEAD, which are mentioned above.

iLEAD Scholarship Participation Guidelines:

Step 01:

- - Submission should be done on A3-sized posters that should be either scanned or digitally made.
  - The format should be either PDF or JPG and each poster’s size should not exceed the recommended size.
  - The first round of selection will be based on three categories:
    a. UG Marks ( All Semesters)
    b. Poster Making
    c. Documents showing achievements in the Digital Eco space
  - Shortlisted students will compete in the final round.

Step 02:

- - The presentation should be made online.
  - Students will be allotted 10 minutes for their presentation, followed by a 15-minute Q/A session.
  - The format for the presentation can either be PPT and should be submitted before the given deadline.
  - Applicants should present the file that was submitted by them to us. Any other doc or addition will not be entertained.
  - The date of the presentation will be: (to be decided and communicated along with Step 01 results)

A jury of both academic and industry experts will attend the presentations, and would assign the scholarship according to the following criteria:

- - Understanding the actual world and its challenges.
  - Formulate the right design question and brief.
  - Exhaustivity of the creation phase
  - Relevance of the final choice
  - Relevance of the concepts, shape, and technical solutions
  - Oral quality of the presentation
  - Visual quality of the presentation.
  - Overall effect of the presented concept.

Here are the other scholarships offered by us.

Merit Scholarship

- - The scholarship will be offered to students securing an aggregate of 80% marks in class X & XII in CBSE/ ICSE / State Examination Board.
  - Alternatively, extraordinary performance in sports, performing arts, and other extra-curricular activities will also be considered for this scholarship.
  - Scholarships will be allotted for the first semester in merit order to eligible candidates.
  - Scholarships will be awarded based on Merit only.

In-State Scholarships

- - Scholarships under this category will be offered to Karnataka domicile students.
  - Students should have and be able to present a permanent residence certificate or any other valid proof of domicile.
  - Scholarships will be allotted for the first semester to eligible candidates.
  - The number of scholarships is limited and will be awarded on a first-come basis.

Girl Student Scholarship

- - Scholarship on tuition fees for girls taking admission in any of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs for 2021 Intake.
  - Scholarships will be allotted for the first semester to eligible candidates.
  - The number of scholarships is limited and will be awarded on a first-come basis.
